जब घर पर ना हो कोई सब्ज़ी तो बनायें ये खास मसालेदार सब्ज़ी | Jodhpuri Govind Gatte Ki Sabzi 










Ingredients Required

For Govind gatta

Gram flour or besan 150 gms around 1 cup
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Crushed Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Redchilli powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Curd 3-4 tablespoons
Ghee (clarified butter) 2 tablespoons

For filling 

Crumbled cottage cheese (paneer) ½ cup or 25  gms
Chopped Green chilli 1
Little salt
Chopped cashews 2-3
Good amount of water to boil govind gatta
Oil for deep frying



For Gravy

Ghee 3-4 tablespoons
Cumin seeds 1tsp
Bay leaf 1
Dry red chillies 2
Laung cloves 3-4
Crushed ginger 1 inch
Chopped green chilli 1
2 Tomatoes and 3-4 cashews paste
Redchilli powder ½ tsp
Cumin powder ½ tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Garam masala 1 tsp
Dry fenugreek leaves 1tsp
Beaten  curd 1 cup
Water in which gattas were boiled ½ cup or as required

Method of Making Govind Gatta Curry

For Govind  gatta

Step1 :- Take all the ingredients in a bowl and make a soft dough
Step 2 For filling add paneer,green chilli,cashews and salt in a bowl
Step 3:-Now take small portion of the dough spread in your palms add paneer filling in between and make a ball as shown in video
Step 4:- Boil water in a pan add ghee around 2 tablespoons in water followed by gattas(balls) allow them to boil for 15 minutes on high flame
Step 5:- Now take the govind gattas out from water and deep fry them till golden and crispy
Step 6:- Gattas are ready keep them aside

For Gravy

Step 1:- Add ghee in a pan followed by cumin seeds,dry red chillies,bay leaf ,laung cloves,green chilli and ginger sauté for 10-15 seconds
Step 2:- Add omato and cashew paste stir continuously for 3-4 minutes
Step 3:- Add redchilli powder,cumin powder,coriander powder salt and stir for another 2 minutes
Step 4:- Low down the flame and add curd  stir again for 2-3 minutes
Step 5:- add gattas,water in which gattas were boiled cover and cook for 2 minutes
Step6:- After 2 minutes add garam masala and dry fenugreek leaves
Step 7:- Govind gatta curry is ready serve with hot roti,chapatti or paratha
