Ingredients required for Chocobar kulfi
For Kulfi
Milk (full cream) 1 litre
Sugar 3 tablespoons or according to your taste
Cardamom powder ½ teaspoon
Few Saffron Strands
For Chocolate Coating
Dark chocolate compound 1 cup (you can also go with coco
powder or any dark chocolate available in market)
Butter 2 tablespoons
A bowl full of water (normal temperature)
A bowl full of Ice cubes
Method of Making Chocobar Kulfi
Step 1 :- take milk in a pan and allow it to boil
Step 2:- As soon as the milk boils ,switch down the flame to
medium and keep stirring it in every 2- minutes also scrape the sides ,reduce
the milk to 1/3 of its quantity
Step 3:- take few tablespoons of hot milk from the pan and
mix with kesar(saffron strands) and add the mixture in the pan for the color
Step 4:- As soon as the milk quantity gets half add sugar
and cardamom powder mix again and reduce till 1/3
Step 5:- when the milk reaches the desired quantity switch
off the flame and let it cool down
Step 6:- Now transfer the mixture in kulfi moulds or kulhad
or short glasses ,cover them with alminium foil and deep freeze them for 6-8
hours or till it sets
Step 7:- After 8 hours For chocolate coating melt the dark
chocolate and butter together in microwave for 30-30seconds ,if you want you
can use double boiler method
Step 8 :- unwrap the freezed kulfi keep it in the bowl filled with water for few
seconds as shown,roll it between your hands ,insert ice cream stick and take it
out of the glass or mould (check video
for the same)
Step 9:- now coat the melted chocolate and garnish with
cashews as shown
Step 10:- As soon as the coating gets complete keep the
kulfi on ice cubes bowl and deep freeze again for 10-15 minutes
