Ingredients required for syrup
Sugar 2 cups
Water 2 cups
Cardamom powder
Lemon juice 2 tablespoon
Method of making syrup
Step 1:- add sugar and water in a pan ,let sugar dissolve and cook for 2-3 minutes more..make it sticky ..no strings required ..
Step 2:- add cardamom and lemon juice and keep it aside
Ingredients for gulab jamun
Paneer (cottage cheese) 50 gms
Mawa/Khoya 200 gms
Semolina (sooji/rava/) 2 tablespoon
Baking soda ¼ tsp
Maida (plain flour) ¼ cup
Ghee for frying

Method of making gulab jamuns
Step 1:- crumble paneer (cottage cheese) rub it with your hands for 2 minutes and make it soft
Step 2:- Rub mawa/khoya for 5 minutes
Step 3:- mix mawa ,paneer(cottage cheese),semolina,baking soda and maida (plain flour) and make a soft dough
Step 4:- Make balls without any cracks
Step 5:- fry balls in warm ghee on low flame ..stir continuously ..till they get golden colour from all the sides
Step 6:- now transfer these balls into sugar syrup and leave it for 4 hours
Tips to make gulab jamuns soft and juicy
1:- Make a soft dough of mawa and paneer ,if the dough will be soft gulab jamuns will be soft
2. while frying ghee should not be so hot it should be warm,fry them on low flame it will take around 10 minutes
3.stir ghee not jamuns while frying atleast for 2 minutes ..after 2 minutes start flipping them to get that even color
4. syrup should not be hot or cold it should be warm when jamuns are transferred
