SHEER KHURMA-EID SPECIAL RECIPE
SHEER KHURMA is a perfect and quick dessert for celebrations,specially made on the ocassion of Eid.
The main ingredients used in Sheer Khurma are vermicelli, whole milk, sugar and
dates.You can add dry fruits of your choice.
Ingredients Required
Full Fat Milk 1 Litre
Vermicelli 50 Gms
Dates7-8
Almonds (Soaked overnight,Peeled and sliced) 20-25
Chopped Cashews 20-25
Raisins 20-25
Pistacious (Soaked overnight,peeled and sliced) 20-25
Clarified Butter (ghee) 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons)
Condensed milk 200 gms or Sugar 1 cup
Desiccated Coconut 1 Cup
Few Saffron Strands
Cardamom Powder 1 Tsp
Method of Making Sheer Khurma or Sevai Kheer
Step 1:- Take 2 tablespoons ghee in a pan and roast all the dry fruits for 2-3 minutes or till you get the aroma
Step 2:- Take them out and in the same pan add vermicelli and roast for 2 minutes or till you get the aroma out of it
Step 3:- Add milk in another pan as soon as it comes to boil switch flame to medium and let it reduce till half
Step 4:- As the milk reduced till half add roasted dry fruits ,vermicelli and desiccated coconut and mix
Step 5:- Add condensed milk,saffron strands and cardamom powder and cook for 5 more minutes or till it gets thick
Step 6:- Enjoy Hot or chilled
